Dr. Metella Dei
Metella Dei is a gynaecologist and endocrinologist who started her career working on health prevention projects for young people and services for adolescents. Later, she worked at the University of Florence, where she focused on gynaecology for children and adolescents and at a center for sexual abuse and violence. She has been conducting clinical research on these topics for years (250 publications and 13 texts), teaching, and organizing training events in collaboration with various study groups and national scientific societies. Her interests include methodologies for learning health professions and the intersection between psychosocial aspects and health. In 1997, she obtained the International Fellowship in Pediatric and Adolescent Gynaecology and has been a Senior member of the EURAPAG Academy since 2002.
Prof. VINCENZINA BRUNI
Vincenzina Bruni is a gynaecologist who founded the Italian School of Gynecology for children and adolescents by opening the first dedicated service at the University of Florence in 1971, where she worked until she became a Full Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. She is a national and international reference point for endocrinological gynaecology and childhood and adolescence and has organized numerous congresses and courses. She has received various awards for her professional activity, including the Honorary Award of the Hellenic Society of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (1993 and 2016), the Honorary Award of Women Obstetricians/Gynaecologists FIGO (1997), the appointment as Magistra insignis of the New Medical School Salernitana (2009), and the “Trotula De Ruggiero” award (2015).
